Bethlehem in Hebrew are two words which means house of bread. Ironically Bethlehem encountered a famine and forced <\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Elimelech (Elimeleck another spelling), his wife and his two sons to migrate in the land of Moab. The book of Ruth is a very simple story about Naomi, wife of Elimelech, after the death of her husband, her two sons took Moabite wives and stayed in Moab for another ten years. Tragically, Naomi&#8217;s two sons also died. Naomi then took a drastic decision to return to Bethlehem, initially her two daughters-in-law followed her, Naomi persuaded them to turn back to Moab. At the end, Orpah left but Ruth insisted to follow her.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">To read a book in the old testament, we may find it very hard to understand as we have no background information. Ruth is a book found in the old testament that contains only four chapters, with online resource provided below. I think the actors using Modern Hebrew for their dialogues, no worry, English subtitles are provided. If you are interested in their productions and you want more background information, you should explore the next eight videos.
